___1st, Thanx John for the broadcast, the book and the experiences shared, the whole shebang as they say in Sterling Hts…(I’m a native). In the broadcast you mentioned the idea stemming from the guarded letters to home that were kept by Mom & later returned… With the help of wife & daughter you got to a point of getting it to a publisher & eventually out to us… I didn’t chew the same leather but was there non the less, and apprec. the view Cherries affords those of us who didn’t endure that part of the war. Once reading the 4 chapter intro you put out awhile back I was mesmerized and wanting more. If not for a thoughtful Mom, we may never have had this opportunity to see-it from this perspective. Looking fwd to finishing what I started (as you-did)… w/ thanx, W. Bill Springer Viet-Vet Navy

This is by far the greatest book ever written on the Vietnam War. I have read many War story’s in my life time this one ranks 5 stars. It draws you in so that you can never put it down. The Comparisons of this and today’s War Here in Afghanistan are very much alike. I thank you John Podlaski for making my time over here much more understandable. Once a Cherry!!

I do have a direct link to Richard’s fine book on my main page – look on right side directory under “Related links”. I do highly recommend “Vietnam No Regrets”. Richard’s story takes place in the Wolfhounds several months before my arrival.
